Sonora opened the game with possession and quickly found the end zone when #7 Cash Byington powered through for a touchdown. Bradshaw Christian responded with a score of their own, leveling the game. Sonora then capitalized on a field goal opportunity, with #8 Garibay splitting the uprights to regain the lead. The Wildcats held onto their slim advantage as both teams headed into halftime.
Bradshaw Christian received the second-half kickoff and showed flashes of brilliance in their passing game, but repeated penalties kept them pinned deep in their own territory. The momentum shifted further in Sonora’s favor when #3 Tanner Navarro intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown, pushing the Wildcats’ lead to 16-7 after a missed PAT.

On a critical fourth-and-goal, #5 Eli Ingalls broke through the defense to score a game-winning touchdown. Garibay’s PAT secured the 23-20 victory with only nine seconds remaining on the clock.
For his pivotal performance, Eli Ingalls was named the Chicken Ranch Casino Player of the Game. The Wildcats now advance to the state championship, aiming to continue their remarkable season.
