Two local high school football teams are set to compete for division championships in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs this week.
Sonora Wildcats in Division 6
The Sonora Wildcats, ranked third in Division 6, will face the undefeated top seed, Bradshaw Christian Pride, today (Wednesday, November 29) at 11 a.m. The game will take place at Sacramento City College. Sonora enters the matchup with a 10-2 record, while Bradshaw Christian boasts a perfect 12-0 season. Fans can tune in to live coverage on AM 1450 and FM 102.7 KVML, with commentary provided by Nick Stuart and Zeb Drivdahl.
Summerville Bears in Division 7
On Saturday, November 30, the Summerville Bears will take on second-seeded Stone Ridge Christian in the Division 7 championship. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. at St. Mary’s High School in Stockton. The Bears hold an impressive 11-1 record, while the Knights are 10-2.
