Bundled in scarves, hats, and gloves to ward off the chill, a lively crowd gathered along Washington Street to celebrate the 41st annual Sonora Christmas Parade. This cherished event, held the day after Thanksgiving, marks the official start of the holiday season and draws locals and visitors alike to the heart of downtown Sonora.
Organized by the City of Sonora, this year’s parade featured over 80 participants, showcasing a vibrant mix of community spirit. Local businesses, non-profits, churches, and first responders all joined the lineup, along with law enforcement agencies and plenty of festive displays. The parade dazzled onlookers with marching bands, colorful floats, classic cars, and, of course, a cheerful appearance by Mr. and Mrs. Claus, who spread holiday wishes to the crowd.
Attendees were encouraged to browse through photos of the event and enjoy a video capturing highlights of the festive fun.
